Subject: Letter of Instruction for Manatee Raider Meet

 

  1. Manatee High School US Army JROTC program is hosting a raider meet On                                  .  Their location is Manatee High School, 902 33rd St. CT West, Brandenton, FL 34205.

 

  1. The bus transportation will depart for those competing at 0530 hours from the front traffic circle at Boca Ciega High School and tentatively return at approximately 6:00PM. All competing can expect to return dirty, wet, hot, and sweaty. The uniform is fitness clothes and running shoes, and BDU complete ( hat, OD t-shirt, jacket, pants, and boots) with pistol belt, canteen, canteen cover and water in the canteen. 
  2. Competition commences at 0700AM. All competitiors will be beginner raiders who have shown they are physically ready and prepared to compete and know the basic essential to compete( first aid, land navigation, rope bridge techniques, etc). Boca Ciega will be fielding two teams. ( One male and one female)
  3. The events are as follows:

 

  1.  
    1. Abbreviated Fitness Competition. Pushups, sit ups and a one mile run.
    2. Rope Bridge- IAW state standards.
    3. First Aid/Litter Carry- 15 questions and one mile litter carry w/60 pounds.
    4. Obstacle Course- 1.5 mile course consisting of 5 pullups, 5 dips, Log walk balance beam, 10 foot wall, Rope Coral knot tying (3 knots) and a 15 meter low crawl thru a tire obstacle.
    5. One eighth of a mile HUMV Push- Best time wins.
  2. In all events above all eight members from each team will compete. Trophies will be given for 1st, 2nd place in each event and an overall 1st and 2nd trophy.

 

  1. Food is available there at the site for purchase. Carry no more than ten dollars for consumption.
