Subject:  Letter of Instruction –Alonso High- Tampa Raider Meet

 

1. The Boca Ciega High School JROTC will participate in the Gulf Coast Raider Challenge Competition at Alonzo High School in Tampa, FL on                      12/4/09-12/5/09  .
2. We will depart via Pinellas County School Bus on November 17 at 5 AM.
3. Uniform will be common to all, BDU, Brown T-shirt, Black Boots, BDU cap, and pistol belt with canteen and cup. PT clothes/shorts will be worn underneath BDU’s, with boots over the left shoulder.
4. Breakfast will be served by the SAI(fruit/donuts/gator aid) after APFT. Do not expect a relaxing breakfast. You will eat quickly and move to your 1^st rotation. Lunch can be purchased on site for a nominal fee ($5-$10) from Alonso concessions.  Entry fee for cadets is $20.  Checks can be payable to Boca  Ciega.
5. All raiders and parents wishing to observe are welcomed. This affords the parents an opportunity to see what your son or daughter does at a meet and the challenges teams must overcome. It requires teamwork and perseverance.
6. Events are as follows
   1. Cadet Challenge Fitness Test (Push-ups, Sit-ups, 1 mile run)
   2. First Aid/Litter Carry
   3.  One Rope Bridge
   4. Canoe Race and obstacle course
   5. 5-km Road March
7. There are 1,2,3^rd Place trophies per event and overall.
8. Please return the attachments signed no later than November 16, 2007.
